Thanks for your comments. What would I adjust on the camera to change to contrasting? I know I can fix a little with Photoshop once I get home.
As for the out of focus: Market scene - I realize that when I'm in the sun and the subjects are in a shadier environment the camera has difficulty in focusing. I've been using the following modes: scene; Tv, Ap, P on my camera to try to get the right picture.
As for the night shots, I've been using night mode where the flash goes off first and then it is followed by the shutter.
I am going to more markets so hopefully I'll be able to get one in focus. Ted has been commenting on whether I'm on holiday or on a photoshoot. I think he'll need his own point & shoot soon.
With a slight increase in contrast, these shots are going to pop. Too bad about the out of focus stuff.
